This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard your information when you use the a hapi day website and mobile applications (the "Platform"), and describes your rights under applicable UAE law.

• "a hapi day" — the event-services marketplace platform operated by us.
• "User" — any individual or entity using the Platform, including customers and suppliers.
• "Customer" — an individual planning an event who uses a hapi day free of charge.
• "Supplier" / "service provider" — a business offering event-related services, which may pay a subscription for a listing on the Platform.

Information we collect

• Identity & contact data: name, business name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, and password (stored encrypted).
• Supplier data: trade licence details, categories and services offered, cities served, business bio, photos, team members, and locations you add to your profile.
• Quote data: the details you include in a quote request (event type, category, city, date and description) and the responses exchanged.
• Payment data (suppliers only): subscription and card details are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Usage & device data: pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, device type, and app performance/crash data, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and, for suppliers, your listing and subscription.
• To match customer quote requests with relevant suppliers and deliver responses.
• To send transactional messages (verification codes, approval notices, quote notifications, support replies).
• To operate, secure, and improve the Platform and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To comply with legal obligations under UAE law.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• Between users: when you submit a quote request, relevant suppliers receive the request details so they can respond. Supplier profile information is shown publicly to customers.
• Service providers: hosting, database, email, payments and analytics partners who process data on our behalf under contract (e.g. our cloud, email and payment providers).
• Authorities: where required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users, the public, or a hapi day.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser or device settings.

Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time.
